What's new? Lancaster Art Vault

Victoria Abadir, of East Lampeter Township, was inspired after she visited the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia. It's a sprawling building with several art galleries inside, as well as a variety of artists' studios.

"I kind of had an a-ha moment, and thought, I wonder if I could bring something like this to Lancaster," Abadir says. While she didn't come from an art background — she comes from a business background and has held positions such as building manager and business manager — Abadir says that she knew there was a shortage of studio spaces in Lancaster.
