"Immature Content" by Resident Artist Brad Maurer

"Immature Content" — A Solo Exhibition by Brad Maurer
 First Friday, May 2nd – May 31st

Lancaster Art Vault is proud to present "Immature Content," a solo show by resident artist Brad Maurer, featuring a collection of cartoons drawn over the years that are sharp, silly, and unapologetically irreverent. With a style that’s as offbeat as it is clever, Brad invites viewers into a world of wry humor, unexpected insight, and the kind of honest absurdity that only a seasoned cartoonist can deliver.

Join Brad and Lancaster Art Vault for an Artist Talk during Spring Art Walk on Saturday, May 3rd at 2PM.

Brad’s path to this point has been anything but ordinary. After studying art at Ohio State University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he detoured into bluegrass music and later earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering. Now retired from consulting and conservation work, Brad has returned full-time to his creative roots—and is thriving. His work focuses on cartooning, drawing, and body painting, blending technical skill with a deeply playful approach to art-making.

"Immature Content" is more than a laugh—it’s a peek into a life lived with curiosity and a willingness to embrace the unexpected. Brad was the cartoonist for Harrisburg Magazine from 2021–2023 and has shown his work at venues and events throughout the Harrisburg area, including the Odd Ones Bizarre at The Millworks, the Sip@Soma street festival, and the Harrisburg Flea. Before joining LAV, he was a member of the King’s Courtyard Artist Collective in York, PA, and continues to bring a vibrant energy to the Central PA art scene.
