Lancaster: Here & Held at Lancaster Art Vault is an exploration of place—an exhibition centered on the landscapes, people, and everyday experiences that define Lancaster County.
Featuring guest artists Ann DeLaurentis, PJ Gilman, Jay Dombach, April Jarunas and emerging artist Nicole Wesoloski, the exhibition invites viewers to consider Lancaster not just as a location, but as a lived experience—celebrating the stories and honoring the people, places, and perspectives that shape the county today.
Ann DeLaurentis transforms Lancaster City into vibrant, high-chroma compositions that capture its energy, architecture, and hidden corners, encouraging viewers to see familiar streets with fresh eyes.
PJ Gilman explores the city's in-between spaces, where shifting light, shadows, and quiet architecture reveal the beauty and complexity of everyday urban life.
Jay Dombach approaches painting as an intuitive journey, allowing observation, instinct, and the physical act of applying paint to shape expressive works that reflect both the external landscape and the experience of seeing.
April Jarunas celebrates Lancaster's rural identity through luminous paintings of barns, fields, and expansive skies, preserving moments where light, memory, and the enduring relationship between people and the land come together.
As the exhibition's emerging artist, Nicole Wesoloski brings a contemporary perspective, using bold color and expressive imagery to explore the emotions that connect personal experience with a shared sense of place.
